I was awarded a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2003.  I am a member of the bars in Ontario (since 2004) and Alberta (since 2008). Throughout my legal career, I have practised civil litigation; initially in a general practice, then later as an insurance defence lawyer, and later still as a senior corporate commercial litigation associate with the Calgary offices of McCarthy Tétrault LLP.

While I was working in Calgary, I met my future wife, and we moved to Kingston together in 2010. Since then, I have enjoyed practicing as a sole practitioner, with a mission of providing top-notch representation to clients with high expectations and a need for premium service.

Be it for work or play, I love strategy!  Online, I play rated chess and Texas Hold’em poker. On the couch, I enjoy watching mixed martial arts competition.  I dabble in woodworking (though I probably have more tools than talent), and I am also an avid computer and network security enthusiast.  In fact, this website is hosted directly by me, on one of my own servers.
